Spring planting

It's been about 3 years since we really did anything with the 5 raised vegetable beds in our back yard. Sam got into the act and helped us compost the beds. This summer, we should have eggplant, tomatoes, cucumbers, a couple of varieties of melon, herbs, and sweet peas. With any luck, we'll be sharing the bounty!

  1. Wish I had a sunny yard! Mine's in shade most of the time, so I've had to forego anything we can eat in favor of impatiens.

  2. TERRIFIC! My husband bought the seeds but we haven't had time to work in the garden yet. I'm hoping and praying that this Sunday is a fabulously gorgeous day and I will be toiling in the soil.
Good luck to your garden Suzy!!!

  3. Your garden (and helper) looks great! Let's swap veggies this summer. AND, save room on your plate for the Elverta peaches that come in all at once mid-July (always when Mike is in Oregon). Last year, 200 peaches....in one day....yikes!
